Introduction:
These gyozas have an appetising appearance, evenly cooked with a lovely thin skin containing an abundance of filling. The texture of the filling, offering a soft crunch and silky mouthfeel. The inclusion of chive and mushroom works, though, adding interest and a lovely umami depth and warmth. Almost there.
Instruction:
1.Heat a large skillet or sauté pan over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, add the dumplings, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
2.Cook the gyozasfor 2-3 minutes on one side, or until they start to brown, then add about ¼ cup of water to the pan, cover with a lid and steam for another 2-3 minutes, or until the filling is cooked through.
3.Remove from heat and serve with the dipping sauce.
